Painting: ‘Passport to Nowhere / The Passport Man’

Passport to Nowhere / The Passport Man

I made this one while on the phone with a friend. I didn’t know what I was making. Once it was done, I was amazed when it spoke to me– I found meaning in the painting. Did my subconcious do this painting? Maybe.

In it, I see a man running blindly. He has everything he needs to get to where he wants to go– his cloak is made up of passports (that’s a photocopy of my passport pasted on his cloak). But he doesn’t know where he wants to go. He runs blindly, not knowing his destination.

Reminds me of someone I know quite well. Me.
