The Superhero Project: “Dead #1”

“Captain Deceased vs. The Electrical Bandit!” (digital art)

Inspired by “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and Max Fleischer’s classic Superman cartoons. Done on Photoshop.

I imagine the tagline for this piece would be something like, “Watch the Dead Superhero Conquer the Futuristic Doom Machine, All To Save the One He Loves!”

    1. Thank you so much. It has been a long, long time since I did this, and so there’s a lot I’d do differently today. But even so, I’d probably leave the ambience as it is–it’s just what I wanted it to be.

        1. I’d like to do a version 2.0, but at the same time, I’d like to see how long I can go without going back and re-visiting my work. I used to do it quite a bit when I was younger, but I’m trying to not do that so much now. Keep doing different things. Maybe a sequel, with Captain Deceased fighting another foe. Haha, I have a few ideas!

      1. Thanks! I’ll check it out. It’s kinda great how you did your stop motion. Honestly, at first I thought (btw, disclaimer, amateur here) that it would be another person’s attempt at deep stop motion thing, but yours was so great, I couldn’t stop! It reminds me of projects some people made at Parsons summer course
        Hope to see another!

  1. Sorry, people are always at me for not being clear. I meant when people try to do ‘deep meaningful’ art which doesn’t really mean anything in the end. They try to do something out of the box with supposed subtext but all they’ve really done is a confusing random video.
Yours is just great. I really liked it
(Sorry about the late reply; been revising for exams)
